Expanding Encrypted Vault Storage for Plus and Max Plans

Over the past months, ReadyTools Vault has evolved from a utility for storing attachments and documents into the primary storage engine for the entire platform. Whether you are attaching design files to a Workspace page, organizing team media, or keeping Linksy backgrounds, Vault handles file management across the ecosystem.

To give you the capacity needed for modern creative, development, and team workflows, we have rolled out a major storage expansion across our paid individual plans, effective immediately and without any change in subscription pricing.

Storage Upgrades

• ReadyTools Plus: Storage capacity increases from 50 GB to 500 GB. That is a 10x capacity expansion. The per-file limit remains at 250 MB per file, providing substantial headroom for large photo galleries, design archives, and documentation.
• ReadyTools Max: Storage capacity increases from 150 GB to 1 TB (1,024 GB). This brings our flagship individual plan to full terabyte scale. The per-file limit remains at 2 GB per file, accommodating long-form high-definition video, raw recording sessions, virtual machine images, and extensive datasets.
• Completely Unchanged Pricing: Both monthly and annual subscription rates remain exactly as they were. Existing subscribers on Plus and Max plans have been upgraded automatically without any action required on their end, and new subscribers receive these expanded limits immediately upon subscribing. Free accounts continue to include 25 MB, and Go accounts continue to include 5 GB.

Security and Storage Architecture

Our storage expansion is built on top of the security architecture already established in Vault:

• Direct Cloud Storage Isolation: Uploads bypass intermediate application servers. Client requests obtain short-lived, authenticated presigned URLs, uploading files directly to isolated cloud storage using randomized identifiers.
• Metadata Encryption: Sensitive file details—including original file names, MIME types, folder hierarchies, and custom tags—are stored in the database protected by AES-256-GCM encryption with HKDF-SHA256 key derivation.
• Row-Level Security (RLS) and Access Boundaries: Access to private files and directories is enforced at the database level through strict Row-Level Security policies. Private files are only accessible to the authenticated owner or authorized workspace collaborators.

That means you can store way more with the same pricing / protection.
