Level Up Your Linksy Backgrounds: New Free Image Crop Tool Arrives in ReadyTools Linksy

If you’ve been using ReadyTools Linksy to build your link-in-bio page, you already know the power of full design freedom on the free plan — custom buttons, colors, fonts, and beautiful backgrounds that make your page look premium and convert better.

Today we’re taking that freedom to the next level with a completely free, highly requested update: the Background Image Crop Tool.

No more awkward automatic crops. No more jumping between external editors. Now you have full creative control to upload any image and perfectly compose it for Linksy’s ideal 9:16 vertical format — directly inside the app.

Why Perfect Background Cropping Matters for Link in Bio Pages in 2026

Linksy pages are built mobile-first. Most of your visitors discover you on their phones, where a perfectly framed vertical background creates an immersive, professional first impression.

Until now, uploading your own photos, branded graphics, or stock images often meant:

• Important parts of the image getting cut off
• Stretched or distorted results
• Spending extra time in Photoshop or Canva just to get the 9:16 ratio right

The new crop tool solves this instantly. You now have pixel-perfect control over every background on your Linksy page — and it’s 100% free.

What’s New: The Linksy Background Image Crop Tool

When you go to Appearance → Background Image and choose the Upload tab, you’ll now open a powerful, intuitive crop modal with these pro features:

• Upload any image — JPG, PNG, WEBP or GIF
• Interactive drag-to-pan — simply click and drag to reposition your photo
• Precision zoom — slider from 100% to 400% or use mouse wheel / trackpad
• 90-degree rotation — one-click rotate button for creative compositions
• Rule-of-thirds composition guides — professional framing lines to help you nail the perfect crop
• Live preview — see exactly how your background will look on your actual Linksy page
• One-click apply — crops to exact 1080×1920 pixels, securely uploads to your personal Vault, and applies instantly

The cropped result is automatically saved in your Vault (as a public file tagged for Linksy), so you can reuse it, update it later, or apply it to other pages.

How to Crop & Upload Your Custom Background in 30 Seconds

2. Go to Appearance settings
3. Click the current background → Upload tab
4. Drag & drop or select your image

6. Click Apply — your new background is live

That’s it. No external tools, no quality loss, no extra cost.
