Platform-wide encryption
Your data always lands safely
Every tool that handles personal or sensitive content stores data in protected, encrypted form. Tools meant for sharing remain public by design. You work as usual — the platform ensures your information reaches a secure place in the background.
What encryption means on ReadyTools
Encryption ensures that private content is stored in a protected, unreadable format. Readable content is made available based on access rules and sharing settings inside the app.
Private content is stored as encrypted data, not plain text.
Readable content is reconstructed only when access is explicitly allowed by the content’s visibility and sharing settings.
Protection happens automatically in the background.
How the platform protects sensitive content
ReadyTools uses encrypted storage, secure connections and strict account-based access controls.
Sensitive data is always stored in protected, encrypted form.
All communication runs over secure, encrypted connections.
Private content is loaded only when the viewer meets the required access or sharing conditions.
How ReadyTools protects your private data
Private content such as notes, files, Lara conversations, and other data is protected using AES-256-GCM encryption before being stored. Stored data remains encrypted at rest on our servers.
Encryption is performed client-side using AES-256-GCM via the Web Crypto API, a modern and widely trusted industry-standard encryption method.
Each individual item is encrypted separately using unique random salts and initialization vectors, ensuring strong and independent protection for every piece of data.
Our servers never store readable plaintext content. All stored data remains encrypted at rest, and decrypted content exists only temporarily within your active session.
Decryption occurs locally in your browser during your signed-in session, ensuring that private data is processed only on your device and not exposed in readable form outside controlled application flows.
AES-256-GCM is one of the most secure and extensively analyzed encryption standards in use today, providing strong protection against unauthorized access to sensitive information.
If you intentionally share or make content public (for example by publishing a note), access to that encrypted content is intentionally expanded so others can view it. The data remains encrypted at rest, and visibility is controlled by sharing settings.
Boo! Outsiders!
Your data is basically a ghost
All stored data is encrypted with AES-256-GCM. Looking directly into the database does not provide readable information without proper access.
AES-256-GCM is a modern, industry-grade encryption standard
Encrypted data looks like random static without the correct key
Database access alone does not reveal any usable information
Your content exists, but to outsiders, it might as well be invisible
Where encryption applies
Encryption is used across all tools that store personal or sensitive information. These areas are designed for privacy and protected access.

Lara conversations
Saved interactions with Lara are stored as protected content and follow your account’s access and visibility rules.
Project and productivity tools
Tools that store tasks, ideas or structured content keep their data encrypted and protected.
Notes and writing tools
Personal notes, drafts and written content are encrypted by default and can be made public when you choose to share them.

File storage
Files and stored assets are kept inside encrypted storage.
Other private content
Any tool or feature that handles personal or sensitive information follows the same encrypted model.
Private content vs public tools
ReadyTools has two types of tools: private tools that store encrypted data and public tools designed for sharing.
Private, encrypted tools
Use private tools for anything meant to stay personal or internal.
Content is stored in encrypted form.
Access is restricted based on authentication and sharing settings.
Designed for secure personal work and collaboration.
Public and shareable tools
Some tools are intentionally public and built for sharing.
These tools still use secure connections, but their content is not stored as encrypted private data by design.
Encryption FAQ
Build with protected private content
Create notes, files, chats and other private content knowing they are stored using encrypted protection across the platform.
