Security Update — Session Management & Account Activity

The new Security Activity page gives you a clearer overview of where your account is signed in, what sessions are currently active, and when important security-related account changes happened.

Active Session Management

You can now see the active sessions connected to your ReadyTools account.

Each session can include information such as:

• Device type

• Operating system

• Browser

• Approximate location

• Last active time

• Session status

• Additional technical session details

Your current device is clearly marked, while other active and ended sessions are displayed separately.

Sign Out Other Devices

If you notice an unfamiliar session — or simply want to clean up old devices — you can now sign out all other active sessions directly from the Security page.

Your current session remains signed in, while every other active device is revoked and must authenticate again before accessing the account.
This is especially useful if you:

• signed in on a shared computer

• forgot to log out from an old device

• lost access to a device

• suspect that someone else may have access to your account

Sign-In Location Information

ReadyTools can now display available location information associated with account sessions and security activity.

Depending on the available network information, this may include:

• Country

• Region

• City

• Data center information

Location information is used to help you recognize whether a sign-in looks familiar.

Device & Browser Information

Sessions can also show information about the device used to access ReadyTools.

This includes supported information such as:

• Windows

• macOS

• Linux

• ChromeOS

• Android

• iPhone / iPad

• Browser information

• Device type

This makes it much easier to distinguish between your own sessions and potentially unfamiliar access.

Active and Ended Sessions

The Security page separates currently active sessions from sessions that have already ended.

Ended sessions can still be reviewed when needed, while remaining hidden by default to keep the page clean and focused on active access.

Security Activity Log

A new security log records important account activity.

Supported events include:

• New sessions

• Password changes

• Email change requests

• Email address changes

• Two-factor authentication being enabled or disabled

• Recovery code regeneration

• Other sessions being revoked

Each event can include its timestamp, device information, location, platform, and other relevant security metadata.

Detailed Session Information

Individual sessions and security events can now be expanded to show additional details.

Depending on what information is available, this can include:

• Event time

• Event source

• Platform

• Device model

• Session identifier

• Revocation time

• Country

• Region

• City

• Data center

• Request reference

• User agent

• Additional event metadata

Sensitive identifiers are also shortened when displayed instead of exposing the full value unnecessarily.

Account-Scoped Security Data

Security activity is tied to the authenticated ReadyTools account.

Session information is requested using the user's verified authentication session, and the Security page is designed to display activity belonging to that account only.

This means users cannot simply provide another user's ID to browse their security history.

The session system is connected to the verified account session rather than relying on a browser-provided user identifier.

Privacy by Design

The Security Activity page is treated as sensitive account information.

ReadyTools warns users not to share screenshots, session identifiers, recovery codes, access tokens, refresh tokens, or similar security information.

The page is also explicitly excluded from search engine indexing.

This update gives ReadyTools users much more visibility and control over account access.

Instead of simply being signed in or signed out, you can now understand where your account is active, what devices have accessed it, what important security events occurred, and revoke other sessions whenever necessary.
