Do I have to know Mermaid?

No. Ask Lara to draft the diagram from a description, then edit the result. You can also write Mermaid yourself in the diagram block.

Which diagrams can it make?

Flowcharts, sequence, class, state, ER, journey, Gantt, pie, mind map, timeline, git graph and C4 diagrams, using Mermaid.

Can I draw a diagram instead?

Yes. The canvas includes software-architecture shapes, and Lara can also place a Mermaid diagram on that canvas.

Does it import Visio or draw.io files?

No. You create the diagram in Workspace, as Mermaid or as a drawing on the canvas.

Is the diagram public if I publish the page?

Only if you publish that page. Until then it stays with the private page.
